How I got started in Triathlon.
Decided to set a big, hairy goal 15 years ago to compete in triathlon. At that that time, I did not know how to swim.
What’s the best triathlon advice someone ever gave you?
The race is "Between the ears". The mental game is vital to your success.
What's the worst triathlon advice someone ever gave you?
So far, nothing yet.
What has been your most challenging race experience?
2014 ITU Long Distance World Championships in Weihai, China, I had a flat and crashed on the bike. I recovered and managed to win a silver medal for Canada.
What advice would you offer to age-groupers who wish to improve in the sport of triathlon?
Set yourself some crazy goals to aspire to. Realize that it may take a few years to achieve them and work on a continuous improvement strategy. Enjoy the small improvements along the way and before you know it, you will be achieving things you once thought impossible.
